Here’s my latest creation. Father and son have gone down to the old fishing hole for some bonding time. Looks like junior is having a lot more luck than his dad.
I had been thinking of doing a fishing MOC for a while. This model evolved as I built it going from a single fisherman to a touching scene between a father and son. You can read more about this model on my Model Building Secrets blog.

Ring-ting-tingling, too
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you. I've been enjoying briXwerX's gallery. Most of the MOCs are large scale sculptures, but a few of them are at miniland scale, like this one created for this last Christmas.

A tight spot for Agent Janus
Lino Martins has continued the saga of Agent Janus. You'll have to read the whole story to find out what's going on in this scene.

Legoland Florida
I've blogged the rumor before, but it is now official. The next Legoland park in the US will be in Florida, at the site of the now-closed Cypress Gardens theme park (30 miles from Disneyworld). Along with projects currently underway in Dubai and Malaysia, we're seeing a nice growth in these parks.

Elvis is everywhere
I've been remiss in blogging lately, an oversight I intend to correct in the new year. Anyway, a couple of days ago was the 75th anniversary of Elvis' birth, so I wanted to feature an older MOC by BaronSat, the Comeback Special. Like a lot of people in my generation, I had a fairly negative view of Elvis, probably based on an image of the 'fat old Elvis' in a white jumpsuit and lots of bad impersonators. Then I saw footage of this special, particularly the MTV Unplugged session*. Dang, that guy was good. Watch for yourself.
*Of course, MTV Unplugged is probably ancient history to many of my readers in the same way Elvis was ancient history to me. Dang, I feel old now.

Here comes the Bride and Groom
As I'm sure many of you know, I've been making Miniland figures for many years, ever since I worked at LEGOLAND California. My newest creation is this Bride and Groom Wedding Cake Topper. No, I'm not getting married. I'm selling the models for those who are.
The great thing is that I can customize the figures so that they look like the bride and groom by changing the hair style, dress and skin tone.
You can read more about it on my Model Building Secrets blog.
